PO Format Change
For the finishes for slants, currently the format shows “finish/finish/finish/finish” the PO needs to show Top,finish/front finish/sides finish/back finish.

So basically, what you're asking for is to label each finish so it's more clear which side the finish is referred to?

Correct. Nobody is going to polish the left side and not the right side of a stone, so you can just say “sides finish” for the sides. Same for the bottom. Nobody will add a finish to the bottom. It will always be sawn so you have a perfectly flat bottom. For monuments or uprights, you have P2, P3, or P5 (all polish), for P2 and P3 you always have to add “BRP” at the end (balance rock pitched). Then for the shapes you have serp top, flat top, scalloped, random edges, cross shape, single heart, double heart., custom (enter custom shape description). For the cross shape, the base has different finishes and it’s a Bevel Front. You would say “Steel” or “Polished” for the bevel front. For slants, we don’t really say “front finish”. You say polished or steeled “face”. Then there’s also the nosing at the bottom front of the slant, which most of the time is a standard dimension, but we’ve had a few occasions where we’ve been asked to duplicate an older stone, which had a custom nosing dimension. The back of the slant can also be either sawn or rock pitched. Then for the shapes you have serp top, flat top, scalloped, random edges, custom (enter custom shape description). For Bevel markers, most of the time, the face is polished or steeled. The other 4 sides will almost always be the same finish (BRP, all polished, all steeled). In rare cases, the front dimension will need to be changed to duplicate an older stone on the lot, per customer request. If the height is 8”, the standard front with the bevel face angle is 6”. For flush or grass markers, you can have a polished or steeled face. Your sides are almost always sawn because they’re easier to install, but sometimes it’s BRP. I hope all of this info helps.
